Seattle Sights: Winter at Chihuly Garden and Glass

There's never a shortage of seasonal offerings on the Seattle Center campus and our neighbor, Chihuly Garden and Glass, has several ways to spend your winter days!

White Winter Tower with Golden Putti

November 10, 2015 – January 1, 2016

Enjoy Chihuly Garden and Glass’ holiday tradition, White Winter Tower with Golden Putti. This temporary exhibition, which made its debut in 2014, has been reimagined and will return with a new look for the 2015 holiday season. Guests can take advantage of special tours and talks related to the Tower, which celebrates the Venetian influence on Chihuly’s work. It also features elements of the artist’s adored Putti series.


Moltenry Community Hot Shop

November 14, 2015 – May 2016

Chihuly Garden and Glass welcomes back Moltenry community hot shop. Guests visiting between 11 am - 6 pm will be able to view live demos and learn more about the glassblowing process. For the winter season, six, 20 minute holiday-themed demos will take place as part of Seasonal Sundays.

Seasonal Sundays

November 29 – December 20, 2015

Festive holiday fun and a way to take care of those holiday to-dos at once, yes please! Chihuly Garden and Glass has you covered this winter with the new festive feature, Seasonal Sundays. Every Sunday from Nov. 29 - Dec. 20, Chihuly Garden and Glass will host a local artist pop-up, children’s choir performances and kid’s activities in the Glasshouse.

1:30 - 2:15pm: Musical performance by Northwest Girl Choir, Amabile
Local artists: Diana Fakhoury Designs and Kate Endle

December 6
12:45 - 1:30pm: Musical performance by Garfield High School Jazz Ensemble
Local artists: Silvana Segulja Design and Dabba Walla

December 13
1:30 - 2:15 pm: Musical performance: Total Experience Gospel Choir
Local artists: Spiffy Cool and Seattle Chocolates

December 20 2:30 - 3:15pm: Musical performance by JazzEd
Local artists: Snooter Doots and Bicycle Soap Company

Kid’s activities include creating fun holiday keepsakes and decorating winter-inspired postcards in the Glasshouse. Complimentary cookies and cocoa complete the fun.
