base 2 space

848 steps.
52 stories.
1 memorable climb.

For the first time in the Space Needle’s 53 year history, the public will have the opportunity to climb the landmark tower’s stairs as part of the inaugural Base 2 Space stair climb.  Taking one of two intertwining, open-air stairwells, climbers will ascend 848 stairs to the Observation Deck located 520’ above ground.   During the climb, participants will be able to look out at downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, Lake Union and all of the area’s surrounding beauty as the Space Needle’s elevators glide up and down the tower.  Fred Hutch will receive 100% of all donations raised.

The top fundraising individuals will have a chance to gain even more exclusive access to the top of the Space Needle (more details to come).

Registration fee is $100 and minimum fundraising commitment is $250.
